If you already know me, ignore this intro. If you don’t, hello!

My name is Jessica Kate. I’m your typical 30-year-old (yeah, I know I don’t look it), holding down a desk job to pay my bills and support my travel addiction while still trying to determine my life path.

Don’t get the wrong impression though, I’m not completely clueless – just futuristically indecisive. So until I can figure out where the heck I’m going, and what will make me happy and financially stable, this gig will have to do.

I’m proud to say that I’m one of those rare, indigenous Floridians, born and raised in Palm Beach County. Oddly enough, I still reside there.

At the ripe age of 18, I moved away to Jacksonville, Fla. to attend college. I studied and had the time of my life at the University of North Florida. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication-Journalism.

I have published work in the Florida Times-Union, UNF Spinnaker, Jacksonville BUZZ and Banzai Wellness Magazine.

To prove that all the money my parents and I spent on schooling wasn’t a wasted investment, I decided to keep my journalistic skills sharp by creating my own blog. A laid-back, online chronicle of the adventures of Jessica Kate; an outlet to talk and vlog about my experiences living life, wanderlusting, eating and brewery-hopping. Topics include, but aren’t limited to: myself (sorry, I suffer from mild narcissism), travel, food, booze, fashion, tutorials, etc.

My expectations for this blog aren’t extravagant. I just hope I can provide you with some travel tips, food and leisure suggestions and maybe a few laughs. Also, if you need to pawn off a free trip or meal – I’m your girl.

If my blog doesn’t tickle your fancy, there’s a simple solution – hit the little ‘x’ on the top of your screen.

Bon Voyage!
– JK

**In case you wondering, this blog has undergone some construction since it took off in 2012. Yes, most of the old content has been removed but I think you’ll be excited to embark on this new journey with me!
